Accurate books tell you where you’ve been. They don’t tell you where you’re going.
Many founders treat finance like a chore until a crisis hits: a cash crunch, a missed payroll or an investor question with no good answer. By then, the options are limited.
Without budgets, forecasts and scenario models, every decision about hiring, pricing, spending and growth is made without a view of its consequences. The numbers exist, but nobody is turning them into a plan.
What it costs you
Cash crunches without warning
No forecast means no early signal.
Hiring at the wrong time
Headcount decisions get ahead of, or behind, the business.
Weak investor answers
Credible forecasts are the price of admission for a raise.
Missed growth opportunities
Without scenarios, you can’t see which bets pay off.
What is financial planning and analysis?
Financial planning and analysis (FP&A) turns your historical numbers into forward-looking plans: budgets, forecasts, scenario models and the metrics that show where your business is heading.
Your Founder’s FP&A Analyst builds dynamic forecasts and budgets, models scenarios, manages cash runway and surfaces the KPIs that matter most for growth, fundraising and exit readiness. Read Why FP&A Matters to Founders for more.
But numbers alone don’t tell the story. We turn raw data into clear financial narratives, so every projection supports the story your company is telling.

Questions? Answers.
How do I know when I need more FP&A support?
Every company’s growth path is different. We monitor your progress and benchmark the support we provide against the support you need. When you need more analysis, moving from Tier 1 to Tier 2 gives you a full-time analyst.
What’s the difference between FP&A and bookkeeping?
Bookkeeping records what already happened. FP&A uses those records to plan what happens next: budgets, forecasts, scenarios and the decisions behind them.
